Engineering and Applied Science Programs for Professionals (EPP) makes it possible for engineering professionals to advance their careers without interrupting their lives. One of the largest continuing engineering education schools, Johns Hopkins' EPP offers engineering and applied science graduate programs in over 14 disciplines, weekday evening and Saturdays when working adults have time. With EPP, professional engineers and applied scientists can find exactly the program that meets their career goals, then get the cutting-edge skills and knowledge they need - when and where their working life demands.
High caliber education. EPP is the part-time, continuing engineering education arm of Hopkins' Whiting School of Engineering, consistently ranked among the top engineering schools and programs in the country. When students complete their program, they receive a prestigious Johns Hopkins University master's degree or graduate certificate.
Wide range of programs. EPP offers more than 450 courses in 14 master's degree and certificate programs, all designed and scheduled for working students. Master's degree and certificate programs range from computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical and computer engineering to technical management and systems engineering - two programs pioneered by Johns Hopkins' own Applied Physics Laboratory. Students also can become expert in specialized fields such as nanotechnology, photonics, and bioinformatics.
Weekday evening and Saturday schedules. EPP courses are scheduled to accommodate working students' busy lives and are taught at locations across the greater Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area, near where students live or work. Locations are conveniently located in Aberdeen, Baltimore, Elkridge, Laurel, Rockville, and Southern Maryland, as well as in Washington, D.C. In addition, a growing number of programs and classes are available online.
Faculty and students. EPP's faculty includes top engineers and applied scientists at private corporations, instructors who have written authoritative books in their field, and professionals from Hopkins' renowned Applied Physics Laboratory. The more than 2,000 students that EPP educates each year already are accomplished in their jobs and working to achieve more, motivating each other as they do. EPP really is a community where excellence surrounds you!
