Master of Environmental Engineering Admission Info

While most applicants apply intending to be a degree candidate seeking a graduate degree or certificate, you may also apply as a non-degree seeking special student. To apply as a special student, you must meet the same prerequisites and requirements as a degree seeking candidate, as listed below.

  • Completed and submitted application form
  • Application fee of $75 (waived for graduates of the Whiting School of Engineering)
  • Official transcripts from all college studies
  • Applicants must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 (B or above) scale in the latter half of their studies or hold graduate degrees in relevant technical disciplines
  • Applicants must hold an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited undergraduate degree or demonstrated equivalent in an engineering discipline from a four year college or university
  • Completion of calculus sequence through differential equations
  • Completion of a course in fluid mechanics or hydraulics
  • Completion of a course in statistics (recommended)
  • Applicants with an undergraduate degree in natural sciences may be admitted as provisional students to complete additional undergraduate coursework in engineering fundamentals and design prior to full admission to the program
