Important Updates about the Online Registration System

New ISIS Online Registration System Starting July 17th

On July 17, 2007, Johns Hopkins University moves closer to the completion of the Integrated Student Information System (ISIS) project with the implementation of the Records and Registration application. The ISIS project represents the University's ongoing commitment to a fully integrated student information system accessible through the web. The system will provide students access to financial aid, billing and enrollment records in one location with the same interface. Similarly, faculty will have a number of features including course rosters with detailed student information and grade entry available through a single website.

Strong authentication security assures confidential access to information by students and faculty using any popular web browser and their JHED Login ID and password.

Many students are already familiar with student information online. In addition to the Financial Aid and Billing features, ISIS for Students incorporates additional features and benefits, including the following:

  • Ability to select courses in a shopping cart to allow for better planning and easy registration.
  • Ability to update and maintain address, telephone numbers and email addresses.
  • Ability to review enrollment and grade information by semester.
  • Quick access to contact information for the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Billing and Registrar across the institution.

Students and faculty who would like to learn more about ISIS and how it will impact them in 2007 can go to www.jhu.edu/isis or contact EPP's Student Services Center at 1.800.548.3647.

Student Sign-On Instructions for ISIS

In order to upgrade our online registration system, the current online registration system will be unavailable between 5 p.m. on July 11th and noon on July 17th, 2007. During this system downtime, students will still be able to register for Fall 2007 courses by either faxing or mailing their completed Registration Forms link opens an adobe pdf file (112 KB). Beginning July 17th, 2007, the Johns Hopkins University Engineering Programs for Professionals (EPP) will be implementing the Integrated Student Information System (ISIS) Records and Registration Web site. Using your computer, an internet connection, and most supported web browsers, you will be able to register and pay for your courses, view your grades, view your schedule of classes, and make changes to your biographical and address information. This provides you with easy access to your financial aid, billing and registration records in one location. With this implementation, the university now has a fully integrated student information system, ISIS.

Where do I need to begin?

To sign on to ISIS, you will need your JHED login ID (LID) and password. Your JHED LID is a unique identifier for your information in the Johns Hopkins University Enterprise Directory. Every student is provided with a JHED LID when admitted to EPP. If you don't know your JHED LID, visit the Johns Hopkins University Enterprise Directory. In the "Search for a person" field, type your last and first name and click the "Go" button. Click the Login tab and follow the instructions for First Time Login. Additional JHED support is available at EPP's website. Starting July 17th, 2007, you will be able to access the ISIS system at EPP's website or via the ISIS website. If you have forgotten your JHED Login ID or password, please contact the Help Desk at 410.516.HELP.

When can I begin to use ISIS?

You can currently access your financial aid and billing information through ISIS. Beginning 17th, you will also be able to access your records and registration information. ISIS provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to your information. In addition, you will be able register for classes following your division's registration dates. Please visit EPP's Academic Calendar for a list of upcoming registration dates. Please note that as of 5:00 p.m. on July 11th, you will no longer be able to enroll in courses or view your grades through the existing web services. Of course, all information entered before this time will be transferred to the new system. This information will be available for your review in ISIS on July 17th, 2007.
